LEGACY HOUSE FACT SHEET
WHAT:
Five Indianapolis women knew that many of the trauma victims they worked with needed extended counseling and support. With dedication and determination, they founded Legacy House to assist and empower central Indiana's community of men, women, and children who have been victims of violence. Legacy House is a 501(c )3 organization.
MISSION:
Legacy House is dedicated to serving the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of adults and children who have been affected by violence. Legacy House promotes healing through intervention, support, education, and understanding. Legacy House will accomplish its purpose by responding to the victims' needs and reframing the crisis to empower the survivor.
WHO:
Legacy House served 3, 455 men, women, and
children in 2009.
Thirty eight percent (38%) of our clients are
children.
Since 2001, our client base
has grown 341%.
The total number of clients we have
served since opening is over 18,000.

Legacy House is located on Indianapolis' eastside at 2505 N. Arlington Ave., Indianapolis, IN in the lower level of the North Arlington Community Health Center.

Services are free of charge. A dedicated staff provides intervention, education, support, and understanding to victims of violence.
